WP RugbyDHL WP training session took place at Scottsdene Sports Complex
It may be interesting to note that the photographer was none other than Dewaldt Duvenage who sat out the session. Not bad pics for a player! The players enjoyed training to the chants of "WP JOU LEKKER DING" from a large group of passionate learners and parents from the community. The passion for Province runs deep in the community and all enjoyed the opportunity to watch the practice and meet the players afterwards. Many will travel to DHL Newlands this week to watch Province take on the Pumas for a place in the knock out rounds. A big thanks to Coke and DHL who helped make the day a little more special. Big up and thanks to the community for an awesome welcome and thoroughly enjoyed practice session from all at Province.

It was a tense affair, but Province held on to end the MTN Golden Lions unbeaten record in a 28-26 win at DHL Newlands on Friday 19 August. Lions were looking good after taking a 14-6 victory thanks to two tries from Province mistakes, but a fantastic second half comeback thanks to Johann Sadie's try and the excellent kicking of Demitri Catrakilis got Province back in the game.

The final whistle of Saturday's Absa Currie Cup clash between DHL WP and the Vodacom Blue Bulls marked the conclusion of a very satisfying day for fans of the streeptruie.

Coach Allister Coetzee's men were very impressive as they ran in four tries to one, to wrap up a 35-7 bonus-point victory against their northern rivals. Coetzee was happy with the win, but refused to get carried away this early in that campaign.

14 U21s played senior Currie Cup rugby – will this investment bear fruit in 2012?

Definitely!
No chance - they are not good enough to provide depth in Super Rugby.
